In 2010, a telecommunications manufacturer came to us with a problem. They needed:

1. To maintain a fiber optic module at a constant temperature.
2. The heater to interface with the connector on their existing wire harness and interface with their current temperature controller.
3. To have a specific type of chip thermistor installed as part of the control circuit and it had to conform to a very specific footprint, an elongated hexagon while maintaining even heat.
4. The main body of the heater could be no more than 0.040” thick or it would interfere with critical components inside the module.

Using thick film on laser scribed alumina ceramic, TFT was able to meet the design requirements and produce custom parts in a matter of weeks.
